and living on snow,acorns,and moles.
Everyone always asks what kind of
dog she is and we were able to find
out the she is 1/2 Great Pyranese and
1/2 Yellow Lab. She is very well
behaved and has the personality of
a butterfly! She lives to bury her head in snow, and eat snow until her head freezes!

Christian Dior Schreiner Pearl n Crystal Rare Festoon Necklace w Earrings

I could go one for an hour about this pearl and crystal parure! It is rare, eccentric,
and soooo captivating! It is exhilarating and exquisite! It is Hollywood drop dead gorgeous!

There are 18 additional photos of this parure. This very rare parure is from late 1940s or early 1950s. This massive bib necklace with matching chandelier earrings was made by Henry Schreiner, most likely for Christian Dior.

Henry designed for Dior in the late 1940s and early 1950s and in 1951 he opened his own company. His parures are very rare to find. The parure is not signed, but there are many tell tale signs that the Parure was made by Schreiner; the quality is none other than Henry's, also noted by the special tear drop crystal on the extension chain.

I probably dont need to say that the necklace is weighty. It is something you wear for a few hours or for an evening.  The necklace is a massive layered and tiered creation of crystals and pearls. The tear drop baroque pearls are silver-white glass pearls. The necklace is made of high quality thick silver rhodium metal.

The stunning clear Austrian crystals are large and medium marquise and chaton cuts. The marquise crystals are 10 mm and 15 mm long and the chatons are  7 mm and 9 mm. These are premium quality old heavy lead crystals with incredible brilliance that cannot be captured in my photos like they are in real life!

Most of the crystals are close backed but the upper most row on the necklace are gold foiled, open backed. Notice the crystal extension chain with the tear drop crystal at the end: this was a hallmark of Henry Schreiner, always adding a little bauble at the end of his exquisite designs.

The necklace can be hooked anywhere between 14 1/2" and 17" long.  If you need the necklace a little bit longer, please request that a custom extension chain be made for you at no additional charge. Standard lengths are 2", 3", and 4". At the center of the bib, the necklace hangs down 5 1/2" long.

The matching chandelier earrings are of course as stupendous as the necklace. They are clips and measure 3 7/8" long  x 1 3/4" wide. The earrings are very large but amazingly, they are not heavy to wear.

It is very obvious that this parure has never been worn. It is still in the original box that reads " Furs n' Fashion, Wayne, NJ." There is no information available on the internet about this business as Im sure it has been out of business for a long time now.

I have professionally cleaned and examined the necklace under a lighted table top magnifying glass. All of the crystals are in pristine like new condition : None are cloudy, scratched, or chipped and all are prong set. All of the pearls and their silver metal filigree bell caps are clean and perfect as well. There are no signs of wear anywhere and all of the silver rhodium both front and back is perfect and clean. 

Comes shipped with the original necklace box and also in a new special presentation luxury necklace/earring box.
