Vintage Sea Shell Pin Jewel Flower Brooch 1950s Tropical Jewelry
I strongly admire old sea shell jewelry, and I collect unique pieces only. I admire this unusual pin because the design is very reminiscent of old porcelain flowers brooches that were made in England.
The small flower clusters are made from tiny clam shells and each flower has very tiny yellow stamens. The clam shells are very tiny as well are about 1/8" wide each, and creating this design was very difficult to accomplish as the flowers are so small.
The little clam shells were dyed in colors of light and dark orange, light and dark yellow, light and dark green, and deep purple. Such a vast array of brilliant colors !
The flowers are piled high and are mounted on oval frame, made of wood and painted gold. The pin is medium to petite in size at about 1 1/2" long x 1 1/8" wide. All of the shells are in perfect condition and the pin has the original fine working safety clasp as well.
You can add a gold brooch slider to convert this pin to a pendant by checking the box below. Sliders come with a pair of silicon stoppers to hold slider in place.
