Coro Pegasus Jewelry 1940s Aquamarine Sterling Flower Brooch
his gorgeous vintage Sterling and Aquamarine crystal flower spray brooch is signed Coro Pegasus - Sterling. It is a fabulous older design that dates from the 1940s and the brooch is in exceptional condition for age.
The nine Aquamarine crystals are large faceted ovals that are 10 mm x 20 mm. The center is adorned with a clear crystal chaton that is a European table cut with tiny brilliant facets. There are smaller clear chatons in the setting as well. The large stones are all bezel and prong set in sterling and the small chatons are bezel set in sterling. The crystals are all gold foil backed as well.
The sterling on the brooch is nice and clean and only in hard to reach areas is there a darkened patina from age. The front and back of the flat sterling ribbon has some very minor and tiny scratches. The gold foil backs only have tiny specks of wear. Due to the minor wear on the gold foil backs, the light reflection within the Aquamarine crystals is not perfect.
The pin measures 2 3/4" tall x 2 1/4" wide. All of the stones are original with no scratches, chips or cracks. The brooch has the original fine working safety clasp and bar closure. This brooch is priced with slight imperfections and age wear in mind.
