Austrian Vintage Crystal Necklace Caribbean Blues 1940s Jewelry
Made in the 1940s, this captivating single strand Austrian crystal necklace is made in three dreamy Caribbean colors of Cobalt, Aquamarine, and Peridot.
The Austrian crystals are very fine old world quality with exceptional brilliance as they are fire polished and have a high lead content. The high lead content is evident when you feel the weight of the crystals in your hand. The crystals are faceted rounds, and all are 8 mm.
The necklace is finished with a very unique flower style brass insert clasp, studded with an emerald cut Aquamarine crystal. All of the crystals are spaced apart by gold metal twist beads so the crystals do not rub against each other.
Unsigned, the necklace is 18 1/2" or 47 cm long. I did not trust the intergrity of the old cord on this necklace and it has been professionally resrtung on very durabel Acculon, or clear teflon coated stainless wire.
I have carefully examined each and every crystal under high magnification and all are perfect with sharp facets, no surface wear, and no chips or scratches. The gold metal beads are all in very fine clean condition as well. The entire necklace is microscopically clean and bright and the clasp is in perfect working order.
