Vintage Butterfly Pin Pop Art Neon Colors 1970s Hippie Jewelry
Made in the 1970s, this Pop Art Retro butterfly pin is genuine old hippie jewelry. This is not a new reproduction piece.
The butterfly is made of thick gold metal and the air brushed enamels are fluorescent neon colors of yellow, orange, hot pink, purple, bright blue, and a touch of green. This butterfly is extremely well made, shows very fine artistry, and was time consuming to make. The back is finished in yellow gold metal and the original safety clasp is in fine working order.
Medium large in size, the butterfly is 2 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" tall or 64 mm x 38 mm. The entire brooch is in pristine like new condition and has never been worn. It is microscopically clean and perfect with no signs of wear. There are no scratches, scuffs, or dings. The brooch is not signed however I can tell you, it was not made in West Germany. It was made in either Japan, Hong Kong, or Korea.
