Richelieu Jewelry Vintage Rams Head Earrings Gold Door Knocker Clips
Richelieu Jewelry designers are most famous for their pearl jewelry however in the 1970-1980 era, they made some unique earrings meant to compete with other top jewelry designers as certain styles, such as door knocker earrings which were very popular.
Most designer door knocker earrings were lion heads however these Richelieu signed clip earrings are gold Rams Heads. These vintage earrings are made of satin yellow gold textured metal and the independent round hoops are gold nugget style. The Rams heads also have ruby red rhinestone eyes.
The earrings are medium petite in size and although they have a solid weighty dr knocker look, they are not heavy to wear. They are 1 3/8" long or 36 mm. The hoops are about the size of a US quarter, or 21 mm wide.
Both earrings are in pristine like new microscopically clean condition. It is obvious the earrings have never been worn and there is no gold wear or loss of gold; not even on the clips that are like new. Both earrings are signed Richelieu.
