Vintage Scarab Pin Egyptain Revival Beetle Brooch 1950s Jewelry
This wild and unusual big ceramic scarab brooch is a very unique hand made piece that dates from the mid 1950s.
The scarab was mold made with deep recessed mold lines and glazed in heavy gloss colors of emerald green, light blue and turquoise. The pin is a bold presentation piece at 2 1/2" long x 1 1/4" wide. It is very thick and heavy as well.
The glazes are in perfect glossy condition with no scratches and the ceramic is perfect with no chips or cracks. The back shows some signs of age just from handling, and the brooch has the original fine working safety clasp. The scarab is not signed but was certainly hand made and could be one of a kind.
You can add a silver or gold brooch slider to convert this pin to a pendant by checking the box below. Sliders come with a pair of silicon stoppers to hold slider in place.
