Garnet Vintage Necklace 12kt Gold Lavaliere w Earrings 1950s Jewelry
This very unique US designer made lavaliere necklace with dangle earrings is an antique/vintage cross over design. It is Art Nouveau meets Art Deco, which is very uncommon to find.
The necklace and earrings are signed 1/20 12kt GF and W&S, which was a fine jewelry company in Providence, RI in the 1950s. Their jewelry is very rare to find.
The necklace has a large looping and layered gold bow trimmed with clear Austrian rhinestone chatons. At center is a cluster of clear rhinestones and emerald cut deep garnet red crystals. The two dangling rhinestone chains are finished with pairs of emerald cut garnet crystals and flat gold metal dangling bars.
The screw back earrings match the bottom dangle design on the necklace. The herringbone 12kt GF necklace chain is original to the necklace, as well as the unique large embossed patterned 12kt GF spring clasp. All of the crystals and rhinestones are prong set.
The chain is 16" or 40.6 cm long. The bow lavaliere is 2 1/16" wide x 2 7/8" long or 52 mm x 74 mm. The earrings are petite at 1 3/8" or 35 mm long. The garnet crystals are 8 mm long on both necklace and earrings.
It is very obvious that this set has never been worn as the entire set is in pristine sparkling clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the crystals and rhinestones are original, present, and super sparkling with no scratches, chips, or facet wear. There is no gold wear or loss of gold and all of the gold parts are clean and bright. The screw backs, the gold chain, and spring clasp are like new. All pieces are signed W&S 1/20 12kt GF.
