Coro Lady Walking Dog Pin Scatter Brooch 1940s Vintage Jewelry
This Adolph Katz designed Coro pin was made in 1948. It was the inspiration for many other designs of "lady walking dogs" brooches over the decades. This is actually a scatter pin set as both the lady and the dog are pins, joined with a chain.
The pins are made of polished silver metal and both pins are signed Coro. There are many imaginative ways to wear these pins, as depicted in the photos. The lady has a high polish finish with a pleated skirt and a feathered hat. The dog has more of a satin finish with swirled hair in relief.
The lady is 2 5/8" tall x 1 1/4" wide or 65 mm x 32 mm and the dog is 1 1/2" tall x 2 " wide or 38 mm x 51 mm. The set is spectacular pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches, scuffs, or signs of metal wear. Both pins have the original fine working safety clasps.
