Lavender Lucite Vintage Bracelet w Silver Filigree 1950s Jewelry
Made in the late 1950s, this very unique bracelet features big Lavender Lucite cabs in ornate silver filigree settings.
This bracelet has a Victorian or antique look. The lavender Lucite is semi-translucent and two of the cabs are big egg shaped domes with ripples. Between the cabs are silver metal Fleur de Lis medallions.
This bracelet is not signed however it was made by a jewelry company called Century. Most vintage jewelry collectors would not be able to tell you anything about the Century signature, but I do have some info. Century is the signature for E.I. Franklin Co. in Attleboro, MA. As far as I can trace, they were in business as far back as 1877 and were well known for silver and gold jewelry. I don't know when they went out business but this bracelet was made in the 1950s, so it was probably not long after they closed.
When clasped, the bracelet is 7 1/4" long x 1 1/2" wide at the center or 184 mm x 38 mm. The entire bracelet is in pristine clean like new condition and has obviously never been worn. There are no imperfections, flaws, or signs of wear and the fold over box clasp is in perfect working order.
