Matisse Jewelry Vintage Copper Necklace Bracelet Earrings Gold Enamel
Signed by Matisse Renoir, this sensational Parure is an uncommon find from the 1950's.
This solid copper Parure consists of a necklace, bracelet and earrings in a rendition of the Peter Pan design in glowing ochre gold enamels. This particular Matisse design was not mass produced like many of their other designs.
The tear drop like sections are painted in a mix of ochre yellow gold and sprayed with black speckling. The colors are very dramatic and unusual. The polished copper front and back is bright with no wear, no dirt, and no greening. The copper enamel panels on the necklace have no wear, cracks or chips.
This set is in very excellent condition. If you look at necklace and bracelet under very high magnification, you might be able to find some tiny specks of edge wear, but nothing that is noticeable to the naked eye. On the necklace, the tips of a couple of the pendant sections have been professionally touched up. The color match is very good and is not noticeable to the naked eye.
The earrings are mint condition with strong clips and are 1" wide. The necklace is 17" long and the enameled panels are almost 1" long. The bracelet is 7 1/4" long x 1 1/8" wide. The only copper wear to this set is on the clasp of the bracelet.
All pieces are signed Matisse and are all original with original hooks, claps, chains, etc.
