Avon Vintage Necklace w Earrings Acrylic Sandstone 1980s Jewelry
This earthy modern necklace (with matching hoop style pierced earrings) is a RARE to find Retro design that was made by Avon in 1987. It was in the 1980's that acrylic plastics- made to look like highly polished marble or sandstone- came into fashion in a big way. The mathcing earrings were made in 1990 as it took Avon 3 years to complete the set.
The necklace has undulating round disks in marbled grey, sandstone, and earthy pink-tan. The smaller rounds are 5/8" or 15 mm wide and the larger rounds are 1 1/4" or 30 mm wide. The disks overlap in a domino effect so the necklace lays nice and flat. The necklace is 19" long. The pierced earring are marbled grey rounds with a cut out slice. The earrings are 1 1/4" or 30 mm wide.
This parure is in pristine clean like new perfect condition and has never been worn. The set is not signed that I can find.
