I have collected vintage West German pottery for many decades. The reason I admire this large pitcher is because it doesn't look like most West German pottery, which is wild and flamboyant. This large pitcher is warm colors and fits perfectly in any decor with a blue, white, or brown theme. This pitcher was made to be a utilitarian object for milk or other beverages. This is uncommon as most West German pottery is more decorative and not utilitarian.

( The coffee cup in the photo is just for size comparision.)

The pitcher is eggshell or very light tan with wide sprayed bands of light blue and brown. The interior is also glazed in brown. It is signed with the three circle Scheurich stamp. The pitcher has a large handle for easy pouring and a spout.

Large in size, the pitcher is 8 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide or 21.5 cm x 11 cm.

The entire pitcher is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. It has never been used and stored in a glass display case for many decades. There are no chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing. The bottom is signed with the Scheurich 3 circle stamp, 447-22, W. Germany.
