This unique Austrian brooch is a rare "old world" design. This brilliant radiating and layered starburst or floral design is extremely uncommon to find! The brooch is unsigned but dates from the 1930s and construction is undoubtedly Austrian.

The Austrian crystals have spectacular brilliance as they are old lead crystals. The crystals are hand cut chatons and marquises and all are prong set. The crystals are suspended on radiating brass arms in a spiral effect. The brass arms have worn silver paint.

The brooch is medium large in size at 2" wide. The brooch is in fabulous clean condition and all crystals are original, present, prong set, and super brilliant. The back has the original fine working safety clasp. As noted, the silver paint on the brass arms is worn, indicating the true age of this piece.
