This very uncommon dresser box was made in the 1930s or 1940s. It is a very unique and unusual box made of a Bakelite type high gloss resin in marbled or striated cinnamon brown, orange, yellow, and black. I have tested it with Simichrome and while it might be Bakelite, it does not test positive.

The box was hand made and not mass produced. The handle, the double perimeter of the lid, and the foot of the box are serrated which is very unique for old resin molds. Ive kept it stashed away for many decades as I have never seen another one like it. The box is exceptionally clean and has been well cared for and has no imperfections, flaws, or signs of wear. Note that the lid does not sit perfectly flat on the base.

Unsigned, the box is 5 1/2" long x 3 1/4" wide x 4" tall, or 14 cm x 8.3 cm x 10 cm.
