Made in the 1930-1940 era these rose bud sterling silver earrings were a very popular design back then. Many ladies owned this design but this rose bud design is not easy to find today.

The earrings are screwbacks and the screwbacks are heavy sterling silver plate over copper. It is how the treaded portion of screwbacks were made on almost all antique screwback earrings. All of the flower petals are solid sterling.

Medium in size, the rose buds are 3/4" or 20 mm wide. The pair is in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches, scuffs, or dings and the screw backs are in proper working order. The sterling silver plate has some light wear if examined very closely. The earrings are not signed.
