I used to have a maasive collection of milk glass necklaces 20 years ago however most have been absconded by vintage milk glass jewelry hounds like me. However, I recently found this one very special necklace I had stashed away.
This very lovely milk glass and pearl necklace has unique unusual scarab milk glass beads. These old milk glass scarab beads date from the 1940-1950 era and are very uncommon to find. They were only made for a short period of time in the Bohemia region.
The bright white milk glass beads are spaced with glass pearls. The pearls have a light Champagne pink luster. The necklace is 25" long and is finished with an attractive arrangement of gold metal turret beads with white pearls. The milk glass beads are 11 mm long x 7 mm tall. The pearls are 6 mm.
This is a petite style that is not heavy to wear as opposed to many other old milk glass necklaces made of large beads.
The entire necklace is in fabulous clean condition. I took some time with the necklace because it was strung on old cotton cord I did'nt trust. It has been securely restrung on Acculon, or plastic coated steel wire. I dont do this for all old necklaces except ones that are very valuable to me.
All of the beads and pearls are in perfect condition with no scratches, chips, or scuffs. All of the pearls have nice luster and there are no signs of wear to any of the glass beads or pearls. All of the milk glass beads are bright white and glossy.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
