This is a very rare brooch signed Apex Art Nov Co., circa 1965.

Made of polished yellow gold metal in three bold dimensional layers. Large headdress is a caged clear glass kidney shaped dome. The face is black enamel, neckline studded with small pearls atop a jeweled creation of faceted glass stones in emerald, sapphire, ruby red, pink, and black. Jewel studded area is boldly domed.

It is very weighty metal and solid in craftsmanship. Measures 2 3/8" tall x 1 3/8" wide. Excellent condition with no missing pearls or glass gems. No gold metal wear or scratches. Minor and very light microscopic black enamel wear. The back has original fine working safety clasp.
