This very large and regal brooch is a late 1950s design, copied from antique jewelry of the European Renaissance period.

This brooch is not signed but it is fashioned in a way that Florenza was famous for and Im certain this is an unsigned Florenza. The brooch also has a bail so it can be worn as a large medallion pendant.

The brooch is made of antiqued brass metal which accounts for the substantial weight. The tiered medallion style is a collage of scrolls, topped with a reverse faceted Christmas green glass stone. It is surrounded with smaller glass rounds in pink, light blue, and green. The purple reverse faceted glass stone at the top balances the design, and both of the large glass stones are gold foil backed. The brooch is also adorned with satin white pearls.

The top section moves independently from the lower section and the whole piece measures 3" tall x 2" wide. The back has the original fine working safety clasp and original large bail. The whole brooch is in excellent clean condition with no signs of wear or other imperfections.
