1950s Glamorous Emerald Crystal Schreiner Vintage Necklace
# 16768
$195.00
This 1950s vintage necklace is a fabulous glamorous design. It is a regal style made of stacked and layered emerald and clear crystal rhinestones. The necklace is not signed but it is was made by Schreiner; it has the typical Schreiner tail with 5 open rings interspersed with rhinestones.
The necklace is made in 3 curved segments; each with stacked emerald baguettes and marquise rhinestones interspersed with settings of 5 clear rhinestone chatons. The necklace is made of silver rhodium metal and if you look at the back you can also see that all 3 of the sections have horizontal curved bars and a soldered pendant loop at the centers. The necklace once had a hook closure that has been replaced with a spring clasp.
When clasped, the necklace can be hooked up to 16 1/4" or cm long. The design is rather medium petite in size and not big and bulky to wear. The medallion sections are about 1 1/2" wide x 5/8" tall or 38 mm x 13 mm. The baguettes are 8 mm and the marquise rhinestones are 9 and 10 mm. You can add a custom-made extension chain on the Miscellaneous jewelry page below if you need the necklace to be longer.
The entire necklace is in spectacular clean condition for age with no major imperfections or flaws. All of the emerald and clear rhinestones are original, present, prong set, and sparkling. There are no cracked or chipped stones and no facet wear. Under high magnification, a few of the clear crystals do not have like new brilliance (as should be expected) but its' not something you see with the naked eye. There is no rhodium wear on the chain or the prong settings and only very microscopic hints of wear on the back of the pendant medallions, hardly worth noting.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in new luxury presentation necklace box.
