Made in the 1950s, these vintage Japanese character cufflinks are a very unique Oriental design.

The cufflinks have mixed silver/gold metal frames with rounded corners. The cabs are nugget textured black glass. The characters are polished gold and silver plated metal. To the best of my knowledge, the characters read something like Friends for Eternity, or Friends for Life, or Best Friends.

Medium in size, the cufflinks are 3/4" or 20 mm tall. The pair is in pristine like new microscopically clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. There is no gold or silver wear and no scratches, scuffs, or dings. The cufflinks are not signed.
