This marvelous old Snowflake Brooch has a cartouche signed Austria, which is unusual. The earrings are signed Austria as well.

This is a prominent set of "old world" Austrian quality and made in the early to mid 1950s. This gleaming dimensional snowflake brooch is a shocking shimmering creation. It reminds me of strong sunlight reflecting of cool blue water; brilliant hues of light blues, purple, yellow, gold, pink : or shimmering AB pastels.

The brooch is made of silver rhodium metal and the open work points or petals are paved with small clear rhinestones in pierced or beaded metal settings, which creates even more sparkle. The overall mesmerizing effect is really old-world Austrian: VERY beautiful, Very Austrian!

Medium large in size, the brooch is 1 3/4" or 46 mm wide. The earrings are 1" or 27 mm. The entire set is super pristine clean. All pieces are in exceptional overall condition for a set made like this. All of the rhinestones are original and present.

Under super high magnification, you may notice some not-so perfect clarity to the clear rhinestones on the brooch, but the clear rhinestones are extremely small. The large tabletop AB at center on the brooch has some microscopic light scratches but no chips or facet wear. Silver rhodium all over is in excellent condition and the back has the original fine working safety clasp.

The earrings are in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. The clips are like new and in perfect working order.
