1950s Signed Hobe Pearl Earrings w Sapphire Glass Dangles
# 11597
$89.95
Sensational and Sassy, these pearl cluster dangle earrings are a spectacular vintage design signed Hobe and were made in the 1955-1965 era.
I will confess: I've never been able to find another pair of these for sale online in 30 years. This design is one of their more eccentric styles that veered away from their traditional old motifs. That, and I believe the production of this style was very limited. Truth is, these earrings have been stored away in my jewelry collection for over 30 years and have not been worn or even seen the light of day.
Of all the earrings Hobe ever made, their cluster dangle style earrings were the most popular and are still eagerly collected and worn. These clip earrings are quality construction, and each dangle has satin white faux pearls with Sapphire blue glass bugle beads and Mother of Pearl glass bugle beads.
(When I say satin white, it's a term that defines a shade of white, or what wedding dress white satin used to be. The term means soft white or having yellow or cream undertones.)
The head pins are stainless steel and are riveted to the button style backs with ball beads so they can never come out. These earrings were made this way to ensure that all of the dangles were secure and could never be lost!
The earrings are in sensational condition with only very minimal signs of wear. All of the beads and acrylic faux pearls are in excellent pristine clean condition. The clips have the original padded ear rollers for your comfort. The clips are strong with tight snap and there is no wear to the silver rhodium metal. As the pearls are not glass pearls, the earrings are not heavy to wear.
The earrings are a medium cluster design and measure about 2" long x 1 3/8" wide.
Both earrings are signed Hobe.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation earring box.
