This very unique and beautiful carved carnelian brooch or pendant is designer signed JMS. In the 1940s, JMS was a jewelry manufacturer in Bloomfield, NJ, who made fine jewelry and watch cases. All of their jewelry was handcrafted and generally not massed produced.

A Roman head is carved in the carnelian and the hand-crafted scroll style frame is 1/20 12 kt gold filled. Medium in size, the pin or pendant is 1 1/4" or 30 mm tall.

The entire pin is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. The carnelian is flawless with no scratches or chips. There is no loss of gold or gold wear. The back has the JMS cartouche signed 1/20 12 kt GF. The original safety clasp is in perfect working order.
