Hand made in France in the 1950s, this Tortoise Lucite barrette is still on the original gold barrette card.

Maurice is famous for their unique barrette designs and their fine quality. Maurice made some of the finest vintage Tortoise Lucite barrettes ever made. This barrette is rectangular, on a slight curve or arch, and the etched or engraved design is a Greek Revival design known as Greek Key.

The face of the barrette is 2 3/8" long x 7/8" wide or 60 mm x 23 mm.

The barrette is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws and has never been worn. The card is signed Made in France and the back of the barrette, on the Lucite, is signed Made in France as well. Note : This barrette is an accent barrette and is not made for a large gathering of hair.
