This large cameo brooch is a very impressive design that was made in the late 1950s or early 1960s.

It is very elegant yet bold in black and clear Lucite. The clear Lucite is very thick, and the rounded sides capture light which makes the whole brooch light up with an electric glow. The Victorian lady has hair jewelry, a necklace and earring.

This brooch will fill the palm of your hand and measures 2 1/2" tall x 1 3/4" wide. The back has an old-style C Clasp and the Brooch is not signed.

What is also very admirable about this brooch is very few designs in clear Lucite like this were ever made. The contrast of the black Lucite cameo on top of the very light reflective clear Lucite is a far cry from the old traditional cameo style, and so the whole brooch makes a huge presentation by itself. 

This whole brooch is in excellent very clean and well cared for condition. It does not have any signs of age. There are no flaws or imperfections. I'm certain that if you look at the piece under very high magnification you will be able to detect some light signs of age to the Lucite, but nothing that is visible to the naked eye.

Truth is, this brooch has been safely protected and stored away in my jewelry collection for over 30 years and has not been worn. There are only microscopic hints of wear from gentle handling, if any.
