1950s Westmoreland Exquisite Milk Glass Compote Wedding Candy Dish
# 15319
$120.00
This 1950s milk glass wedding compote candy dish is not your average Westmoreland glass design. This design with hand painted decor was considered to be a very elite candy dish that was owned and used only by those who could afford such an impressive work of art.
This lidded compote is short in stature and not in danger of being knocked over like their taller designs. The beautiful décor of this piece features a radial ribbed lid with hand painted pink roses, green leaves, and gold accents. The base of the compote, around all four sides, has molded pleated diamond medallions. The base of the compote is round.
Medium large in size, the compote is 5" wide x 5" tall or 13 cm x 13 cm. The entire compote is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. The milk glass is glossy with no scratches, scuffs, chips, or cracks. There is no wear to the hand painted flowers or the gold accents. The compote is not signed.
