Made in the 1960s, this Christmas Santa pin is an exceptional vintage holiday brooch. 

Have you ever seen Christmas ornaments from the 1960s or before?

Many ornaments had shimmering metallic luster paint that was heat flashed. They are a thing of the past today, but this is how this Santa pin was made; the same manner as old christmas tree ornaments. The Santa is made of silver rhodium metal and it is a nice thick cast with fine mold definition. Santa has sparkling blue rhinestone eyes and metallic enamels in cranberry red, green, silver and gold. 

Medium large in size, the Santa is 2 1/4" or 57 mm tall.  The entire pin is in very well cared for condition for age with minimal signs of wear. The back has the original fine working safety clasp and the pin is not signed.
