Not all vintage wood bead necklaces were created equal! Ive collected wood bead necklaces from the 1950s thru the 1980s for 40 years now. (My collection is limited and I only have a few more to list. These are rare and unusual designs and they do sell quickly.)

The day is fast approaching when women will wish they had to foresight to collect vintage wood bead necklaces. Not every wood bead necklace, but those composed of unique vintage beads from various types of wood from around the world. They are fast becoming hard to find but many people just dont know anything about old wood beads.

I suppose it goes without saying that this is one of the most unique carved wood necklaces you will ever see. Who doesnt love bees? In my 45 years of collecting vintage jewelry Ive seen a lot of animal carved wood necklaces, but never one like this!

The necklace is a chunky style with natural light creme colored wood beads and leaf green painted beads. The two large painted bees are fully dimensional and are the same on the fronts as on the backs.

The necklace is 31" long or 78 cm and the largest wood beads are 7/8" wide, or 2.3 cm. The bees are 2 3/4" long or 6.8 cm. The entire necklace is in pristine clean like new condition. I have owned it since it was new in the 1970s and it has never been worn. All of the beads are perfect with no wear or other imperfections.
