For the past 30+ years I have collected many carved wood sculptures and this particular carved wall plaque is one of my favorites in my collection. Look at the photos below and you will see one photo of part of my collection on my fireplace mantel. This wall plaque is extremely well made and is very large. The plaque is not signed but I believe it is an early work (1980s) of Eric Danquah in Aburi, Ghana. The carving is eccentric and very professional. Im not 100% certain about the type of wood used but it is not Sese. It is either Acacia or Ebony. Many photos here show you close ups of the wood grain front and back.
This wall plaque is 19 1/2" tall x 9 1/2" wide or 50 cm x 24 cm. The entire plaque is in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches, chips, dings, or cracks. The rich patina is exceptional. Packing for this item will be professional packaging for perfect protected transport.
