There are several things I love about big silver mirror flower pins that were made in West Germany in the 1950s.
This high dome flower with wide arched petals was one of the first and few ultra-modern German jewelry styles that was produced for export. After the Germans made mirror style brooches like this, US jewelry designers like Sarah Coventry soon followed with similar designs.
This flower was made of new high-tech metals for its' time. The brooch is made of high-grade aluminum with a thick chrome finish like the kind you remember on cars some 50-60 years ago. I also admire Pop Art silver mirror flower pins because they go with any outfit and with sterling silver jewelry.
The flower is 2 1/4" wide and sits up 5/8" tall front to back. You can get a better indication of size by looking at the brooch in my hand. The pin is in sensational like new condition with no scratches, scuffs, or wear. The entire pin both front and back is perfectly clean and pristine. The pin is not signed but im certain it was made in West Germany. Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box. You can add a silver brooch slider to convert this pin to a pendant by checking the box below. Sliders come with a pair of silicon stoppers to hold slider in place.
