If I didn’t tell you that this impressive modern brooch was signed West Germany, you might think it was made by Sandor!
It is easy to see where Sandor got the inspiration for brooches like this!
Made in the late 1955-1965 eras, this large Modern mosaic glass brooch is made of unique large faceted glass cabs with gold foil backs.
The cabs are fascinating shapes of long slender ovals, pear cuts, square cuts, marquise cuts, a large obtuse triangle, and a large hexagonal nugget.
The glass is a refreshing combination of both Aquamarine blue and Aquamarine teal.
All having gold foil backs, the glass lights up and glows on its own accord.
The brooch is made of gold gilt metal and all of the cabs are prong set.
Large in size, the brooch measures 2 5/8" long x 1 5/8" tall or 68 mm x 42 mm.
The three largest glass cabs range from 25 mm to 30 mm long.
You can get a better indication of the size by viewing the photo of the brooch in my hand.
The entire brooch is in clean condition with no imperfections or flaws.
All of the glass cabs are perfect with no scratches, scuffs, chips, or facet wear.
All are perfectly lucid and clear. There is light gold foil wear and gold wear on the back.
The back has the original fine working safety clasp and the Made in West Germany imprinted cartouche.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
