Made in the early 1950s, this feminine pin and clip earring set is signed Made in West Germany. This set is very unusual for West Germany jewelry as it features unique Bohemia satin glass.
The elegant opaque sky blue satin glass has milky white canes mixed in. The glass cabs are shaped like Lily pad leaves. The cabs are not flat but undulate like a real Lily pad leaf. The tops of the cabs are also linear etched. The set is made of gold plated metal and the pin has a sky blue rhinestone accent on the stem.
A petite parure, the pin is 2" or 50mm long. The earrings are very petite at 3/4" or 19 mm. The clips on the earrings are petite as well (an older style). The glass cabs are 17 mm.
The entire set is in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches or chips in the satin glass and not gold wear or loss of gold. The backs have some light signs of gentle handling and an aged patina. The clips are in perfect working order. All pieces are signed Made in West Germany with the old round style cartouche.
* It is important to note that this set was made in the early years of West Germany and early sets like these are very hard to find. The designation Made in West Germany started until 1949 however, most West German jewelry from the 50's and 60's was stamped with the words on one or two horizontal lines. Older jewelry like this set have a stamped round cartouche.
