When this pendant was made in Germany in the 1955-1965 era, it was considered a type of the modern-day cameo. The round milk glass pendant is elegantly adorned with a Victorian lady, wearing a hat and a plunging neckline dress. In the background is a garden scene. The milk glass cab is beveled, domed, and set in a fancy gold filigree metal frame. Look at the back of the pendant and you can see the fancy gold filigree metal setting. This is not hand painted. It is a silk screen print that is rather uncommon to find on old pendants.
Medium in size, the pendant is 1 7/8" or 46 mm wide. The original gold metal necklace chain is 22" or 56 cm long and the insert clasp is signed Germany. Both pendant and chain are in microscopically clean pristine condition with no imperfections or flaws. The milk glass cab is perfect with no scratches, scuffs, chips, or fading. there is no gold metal wear or loss of gold.
