Made in the 1960-1970 era, this vintage Cloisonne hummingbird pin is a large design. The hummingbird is made of polished gold metal and the Cloisonne enamels are rose pink, medium pink, black, and light grey. These are unusual colors for a hummingbird pin as later designs were typically made in peacock or jewel tone colors. The back of the pin is polished gold metal with an uncommon stamped butterfly pattern in the metal. It may have been a pattern used by Pierre Bex.
The hummingbird is 1 5/8" tall x 2" wide or 41 mm x 52 mm. You can get a better indication of the size by viewing the photo of the pin in my hand. The entire pin is in super pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. The pin retains the clear gloss coat and there are no scratches, chips, cracks, or crazing to the enamels. The back has the original fine working safety clasp.
