This Daher Made in England signed candy tin was made in the 1950s. This particular tin is a rather hard to find Cloisonne flower motif in dark brown, canary yellow, and various shades of greens. The Cloisonne designs have become the most popular among collectors, especially the older designs like this one. The tin is round and bulbous on the body. The lid has a large round brass finial. This tin has sat untouched in one of my glass curio cabinets for over 30 years.
This tin is large is size at 5 1/2" tall x 5 1/4" wide and is in excellent condition for age with only light signs of wear. There are no dings, dents, or major scratches. There is no enamel paint wear or loss of glossy clear coat finish. The band of gold around the rim has some light wear and there is a small scratch spot on the lid. The interior and the bottom have some light signs of rust from age. The bottom is signed Daher, Made in England.
* This is an uncommon English tin Cloisonne motif to find and signs of light wear and small imperfections should be expected. It is probably not possible to find this particular tin in excellent like new condition.
