This English chalk ware pansy plaque is signed Bossons, England, 1959. Bossons is very famous for the figural face wall plaques they made but I prefer their flower plaques, which are very hard to find today. The plaque is a shallow bowl shape with frilly pansies in 3D relief. The background area has a stippled texture and is soft pale yellow and dark gold paint around the border.
Medium in size, the plaque is 6" or 15.5 cm wide. The entire plaque is pristine clean excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are some tiny specks of gold paint wear on the rim and some light silver paint wear on the back. The plaque has a metal ring for hanging.
