If you are looking for a magnificent vintage candy dish, your search has ended! This is the crème de la crème of 1950s vintage crystal candy dishes!
I've had this impressive piece packed away for decades. It is not signed but it was made by Glastonbury. The first thing you notice about this candy dish is the large bulbous size and the wide 22kt gold brocade on the lid. This wide gold pattern is called Georgian Gold. The lid also has a circle of etched oval dots. The sides of the candy dish are etched with matching dots and etched vertical linear decor.
Large in size, the bowl with lid is 5 1/8" tall x 6 1/4" wide. Both lid and bowl are in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no chips, cracks, or flea bites. No rim chips on lid or bowl. Some very light microscopic wear to the gold brocade. On the inside bottom of the bowl there are few light scratches, hardly worth noting.
