Of the many thousands of prints that were made by Lambert Products in the 1940s and 1950s, my very favorite are the 1940s tropical flowers in watercolors. They are not easy to find today, especially in excellent condition such as this one. This looks like a real watercolor painting and it is even printed on old watercolor paper, but it is a print of a watercolor.
Nevertheless, if you love Hibiscus flowers like I do, this is one of the finest renditions you will ever see. It is soft, warm, charming, and the colors are very pleasing. The deep and character of the leaves is also very appealing. The large white hibiscus has a light pink stamen and I believe the red flowers are an old fashioned type of Freesia (or Frangipani).
The print is framed under glass in the original glass and frame. The frame is white with antique gold trim and triangle carvings. The back is all original as well and the hanger is just an old simple cotton string. The picture with frame is about 8 1/2" x 10 1/2". The back is stamped 149150152, A Lambert Product, Made in USA, Brooklyn NY & St. Louis, MO. Both picture and frame are in excellent clean condition with no imperfections or flaws.
