If you love Murano glass jewelry, then you're probably very familiar with Italian Millefiori glass beads, Micro Mosaics, and wedding cake beads.
Sometime in the 1970s, in order to show off their use of Aventurine glass, Murano glass artists began making glass pins shaped like candy. Im not sure what the significance of pins shaped like candy is, but the pins are not very abundant or easy to find. I believe it just looks like a piece of candy and is actually just a new design to show off the skills of Venetian Aventurine glass combined with pulled cane twists.
This clear glass candy with gold aventurine has the original Murano, Made in Italy, foil sticker. The pin is very long and thick and the white glass end is ribbed and twisted like the tail of a fish. The pin is hand blown and is all one piece of glass. It measures 2 1/2" long x 1" tall x 1/2" thick. The entire pin is in pristine like new condition with no wear or imperfections.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
*You can add a gold brooch slider to convert this pin to a horizontal or a vertical pendant by checking the box below.
