This commanding large golden sunshine Juliana style crystal brooch is not only very impressive in size but the cross-radiating design is exquisite, and the colors of Golden Topaz, Yellow Citrine, and Clear AB rhinestones is like a big breath of fresh air!
This large snowflake design is 2 3/8" or 6 cm wide. The designs is a radiating star at the center, slightly concave, as the large marquise cut crystals are set on an upward angle. The double row and staggered set marquise crystals around the perimeter are set in a circular pattern; a striking perpendicular contrast to the radiating pattern at the center.
The brooch is made of heavy gold-plated metal and all of the large marquise crystals are open backed, allowing light to create surrealistic brilliance. Unsigned, the entire brooch is in immaculate pristine microscopically clean like new condition. All of the crystals and rhinestones are original, present, and super sparkling. There are no scratches, scuffs, or chips. If you look at the brooch under high magnification, on a couple of the light yellow marquise crystals, some signs of gentle handling can be detected. The gold is brilliant and like new both front and back; not even any wear on any of the prongs that hold the crystals.
This extremely unique brooch is in superb condition from a collectors standpoint even though the designer is uncertain.
