Made in the 1950-1960 era, this pair of hand painted porcelain figurines are charming singing Geisha girls. One girl has a lavender dress and the other has a light green dress. Both hold Oriental fans embellished in 24kt gold. Both figurines have their original blue and silver foil stickers that read: Empress, Made in Japan. (One sticker is only partially intact.)
Medium petite in size, the figurines are 4 1/4" or 108 mm tall. The pair have been in a glass curio cabinet for many decades and have never been handled. Both are in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no chips, cracks, scratches, or signs of wear. The girl in the green dress has a couple of tiny specks of black paint on her arm made by the artist when they were originally painted.
