This extra large Oriental vase has an exceptional vibrant motif and is a fine quality porcelain. It is a Kutani style, meaning that it is not antique, but is most likely a Kutani reproduction. I purchased the vase new around 1992.
The Oriental colors are gorgeous and well accomplished. The motif is a complicated all-around-the-vase design (the motif is repeated both front and back) of cranes, flowers, bamboo and panels: all outlined in 22 kt gold. The vase is very light grey porcelain with a raku or crackle glaze effect.
Very large, the vase is about 10 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" wide or 25.5 cm x 16 cm. The entire vase is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches, scuffs, chips, cracks, or repairs and no signs of wear. The bottom is signed with a red number 9, and a stamp warning the product is not for food use.
