A beautiful large vintage porcelain shoe! One of the largest collectible shoes you will ever find, this shoe is almost 5" tall !
The bright white porcelain is embellished with many decorations. The front of the shoe has applied roses and leaves in cobalt blue and 24 kt gold. The top of the shoe has raised pom-poms with speckled gold and down both sides are raised scrolls with 24kt gold. In five places there are swags of blue floral decor with gold. Also notice the back of the shoe; the heel has a raised drapery pattern. The shoe is 4 3/4" tall 2" wide. There are no marks or signatures. On the bottom is the remnants of an old brown paper sticker which indicates the shoe was most likely made in the 1950-1960 era.
The entire shoe is in pristine perfect condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, repairs. On the blue floral swag on the toe, a couple of leaves are lighter but this is probably just how it is made. The exterior is exceptionally clean and like new. On the inside, I have intentionally left the dirt for a reason. It shows the age of the shoe as dirt like this took a great deal of time to accumulate. It can be easily cleaned.
