Art Nouveau Earrings Copper Ladies Pierced 1960s Jewelry
Made in the 1970s, these Art Nouveau style lovely lady earrings have the prettiest copper metallic finish.
The earrings were made for pierced ears and the earrings are not copper; they are copper metallic anodized metal, complete with an antique patina look. The domed buttons on the ear posts are glistening copper metallic enamel. The young lady is molded in relief and if you look close, she has a 1970s Farrah Fawcett hair style!
The hair style is no accident and relates to cameo jewelry. Over centuries, cameo makers only carved ladies of the period and hair styles often tell the age of the cameo. The artist that made these earrings knew this I believe!
The round lady medallions are about the size of a US silver dollar or 1 1/2" or 38 mm wide. The earrings hang down 2 1/2" or 64 mm long overall. The earrings have never been worn and both are in pristine microscopically clean like new condition. There are no scratches, dings, or other imperfections. The earrings are not signed.
