Big Daisy Flower Brooch Sandor 1960s Jewelry
Sandor signed jewelry is considered by many collectors an uncommon designer signature to find today, but I somewhat disagree.
Yes, about 10 years ago, there didn't seem to be much Sandor jewelry around, but it is turning up now, mostly lesser quality flower pins from the 1960s. Sandor made a slew of brooches in the 1960s Im not impressed by. I do agree that their older jewelry from the 1940s and 1950s is still very hard to find.
Made in the 1950s, this big domed Retro flower pin looks similar to a Gerber daisy, yet accomplished in one of the most popular color schemes of the 1950s ; gray on gray.
The flower is made of gold metal and the petals are light grey, the center is a mottled dark grey, and the outlines of both are black. The flower has a distinct Retro look, arched in a big dome with irregular petal shapes.
The flower is a large hand full at 2 5/8" or 6.8 cm wide. You can get a better indication of the size by looking at the photo of the flower in my hand.
This brooch is in spectacular pristine microscopically clean condition. The enamels are perfectly glossy with no scratches, chips, or crazing. The back of the brooch is finished in satin gold metal with no wear. The back has the original fine working safety clasp and the Sandor signature on a leaf cartouche.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
You can add a gold brooch slider to convert this pin to a pendant by checking the box below. Sliders come with a pair of silicon stoppers to hold slider in place.
