Bohemian Milk Glass Pearl Necklace 1950s Jewelry
This very lovely milk glass and pearl necklace has unusual scarab like milk glass beads. These old milk glass scarab beads date from the 1940-1950 era and are very uncommon to find. They were only made for a short period of time in the Bohemia region.
The milk glass beads are spaced with glass pearls that have a light Champagne pink luster. The necklace is 25" long and is finished with an attractive arrangement of gold metal turret beads with white pearls. The milk glass beads are 11 mm long x 7 mm tall. The pearls are 6 mm.
The entire necklace is in fabulous clean condition. I took some time with the necklace because it was strung on old cotton cord I did not trust. It has been securely restrung on Acculon. All of the beads and pearls are in perfect condition with no scratches, chips, or scuffs. All of the pearls have nice luster and there are no signs of wear to any of the glass beads or pearls. All of the milk glass beads are bright white and glossy.
* Most old milk glass necklaces were made with large heavy beads. This necklace is very unique as the beads are feminine or petite, and the necklace is not heavy to wear.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
