Coro Jewelry 1950s Vintage Chandelier Earrings Clear Crystal Midis
From the early 1950s, these clear crystal Midi chandelier earrings are designer signed Coro.
You may think that Coro, having been such a mainstream jewelry designer, would have made a lot of earrings like this but actually, Coro made very few chandelier earrings. I don't think they could dominate the market place up against so many other top designers so, signed Coro Chandelier earrings are rather rare, and very valuable. They didn't skimp on the quality of the Austrian crystals, as these have spectacular brilliance like you would expect from Eisenberg or Weiss.
The few dazzling chandelier designs that Coro did make were between 1952 and 1954. These earrings are signed Coro in script without copyright, so they are certainly pre-1955. The earrings are screw backs made of silver rhodium metal. The pyramid at the top and the middle bottom dangle are 8 mm clear rhinestones. The medium sized rhinestone on the swinging chains are 5 mm.
The earrings are Midis, or medium in length at 1 5/8" long x 9/16" wide, or 4.3 cm x 1.4 cm. The crystals and rhinestones set in these earrings have super spectacular clarity and brilliance.
All of the rhinestones are original, present, and sparkling clean and clear. Both earrings are in microscopic pristine clean condition and have never been worn. The silver rhodium is clean and bright all around.
A spectacular and very unique vintage Coro chandelier pair!
