Coro Flower Basket Pin Striking Crystal Brooch 1940s Vintage Jewelry
From the 1940s, old flower basket pins as sensational as this one are very hard to find!
This unsigned beauty is a Coro design called Fragrance that was made in 1947.
This is a gorgeous floral creation made of 22kt gold plated pot metal. The floral display has marquise and oval crystals in romantic colors of ruby, emerald, amethyst, and fuchsia. Scattered through the openwork design are clear rhinestone chatons with the tiny brilliant facets. Ribbons of tiny clear rhinestone accent rows on the ribbed basket.
The brooch is 2" tall x 2" wide or 51 mm x 51mm.
You will be pleased to know that this brooch has been very well cared for and all of the rhinestones and crystals are present and sparkling. The gold finish is in excellent condition as well with no scratches or scuffs. The only sign of age to this brooch is very minor. A few of the clear chatons at the top have a light yellow tint from age. It is hardly worth noting and does not stand out to the naked eye. The back is finished in 22kt plated gold as well and the original fine working safety clasp is in place.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation brooch box.
