Sea Shell Necklace Iridized Blue 2 Strands 1960s Jewelry
Made in Japan in the 1960s, this impressive sea shell necklace in blue is an uncommon vintage design. The necklace is two long strands with iridized metallic blue flashing on the small snail shells and the polished sea shell nuggets. Between the sea shells are gold foil lined clear glass seed beads.
The iridized metallic blue flashing has hints of light blue, teal, and purple. What is notable about this finish is that this necklace is over 40 years old and it does not wear off; not like new shell necklaces with color flashing being made in China. Flashing on new necklaces from China comes off while you are wearing it!
Long in design, the longest strand is 29 1/2" or 75 cm long. The snail shells are about 5/8" or 18 mm wide.
The necklace has the original matching shell extension chain. In excellent pristine clean like new condition, both strands are perfect with no imperfections or flaws. There are no missing, cracked, chipped, or worth shells. The original clasp is signed Japan.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation necklace box.
